Acknowledgement of Country
Stella Maris College would like to acknowledge the Aboriginal peoples who were the traditional custodians of the land on which the College is built; those people who called the wetlands of Manly Lagoon their home. We would also like to pay respect to Elders both past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal people. May the teaching and learning practices of this College always be respectful of the knowledge born of the Aboriginal custodianship of this land.
“For in spite of public apathy and the segregation pack
There is mateship now, and the good white hand stretched out to grip the black.
He knows there are white men here today that will help us fight the past
‘Til a world of workers from shore to shore as equals live at last.”
