Board of Directors
Stella Maris College is incorporated as a company limited by guarantee and governed by a constitution. It has an independent Board of Directors who give their time and expertise, as volunteers, to guide the overall direction and management of the College.
The Board delegates the day-to-day running of the College to the College Executive, led by the Principal, who then regularly reports to the Board. The Board of Directors is accountable to Good Samaritan Education. Good Samaritan Education is a legal entity within the Church but also incorporated in civil law. This governance structure is designed to take Stella Maris College, along with our sister Good Samaritan schools, confidently into the future while preserving and deepening our Good Samaritan identity.
The Board and its Committees are bound by the Benedictine values, traditions and educational goals of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, by whom the College was founded. All Directors and Committee members are wholly committed to the Good Samaritan Education vision.
The current Board Directors bring a great depth of knowledge and experience to the governance of the College and have backgrounds in education, law, finance, marketing, learning and development management, human resources and organisational administration.
