Recently 112 students completed their qualifying hike around our beautiful northern beaches. The girls walked up to 45km over the weekend and covered many walking trails from Clontarf to Newport. As part of this hike, the girls then participated in the Dee Why to Newport Pub to Pub Charity Race, along with many other students, families and their friends. With 182 Stella people entering into the event it meant that Stella took out a hat-trick of winning titles in the Pub to Pub schools division and also biggest group for the year, breaking the record for the largest group ever to enter the fun run. Stella Maris College raised over $2800 for Happy Days School in Cambodia.
A huge congratulations to the 182 people who entered the fun run and particular congratulations to Tilla G who came second in the under 18’s division for 6km and her sister Ella G who came 5th in the 13km division.
Congratulations to all involved with the hike, the staff supervising were thoroughly impressed with the students determination and organisation. Well Done.
