Stage 4: Years 7 and 8
The transition from primary to secondary school is a time of exponential social, moral, spiritual, emotional and academic growth. Working closely with the parents as an integral part of the College community, we aim to develop a sense of belonging and an appreciation of the effort and commitment required if our girls are to reach their goals. By participating in a wide variety of subjects and extra-curricular activities, our Year 7 girls discover new talents and interests of which they may not have been aware. Their experiences build resilience and they use these experiences to move forward with confidence and enthusiasm.
Our Year 8 girls understand what it means to be a ‘Stella Girl’. They begin to contribute to their community and embrace the varied opportunities that resonate with them. With the confidence and curiosity cultivated in Year 7, our Year 8 girls are eager learners. This is where they begin to take responsibility for their learning. Choosing a language is the first of many academic choices they will have, giving them more control over their study and encouraging them to become motivated, independent learners.
