Stage 5: Years 9 and 10 - Stella Maris

Self-determination and Self-discipline

Stage 5 is where your daughter will engage in her chosen electives, providing her with the capacity to learn new skills and further enhance her creativity. Having a greater choice of electives engenders greater self-determination and facilitates our girls’ thinking about the future and their academic goals. Our girls are also given the opportunity to become further involved in various extra-curricular activities, forging even stronger connections with the school community and steadily building their confidence. As they progress they develop more academic independence and with the guidance of teachers and the support of their peers, they acquire more resilience and greater stamina for the years ahead.

By Year 10 our girls display a more mature, disciplined approach as they embrace a stronger commitment to their studies and to the College. Throughout their Year 10 journey, they are continually asked to reflect upon their learning choices and commitments.
