Sharyn Quirk

Mrs Quirk assumed the role of Principal in January 2025 following the retirement of Mrs Elizabeth Carnegie.

Mrs Quirk comes to Stella from Brigidine College, Randwick where she has held the role of Principal for almost six years. She has had a distinguished career in Catholic girls’ education, holding assistant principal and senior leadership positions in curriculum and assessment, pastoral care and performing arts at St Clare’s College (ACT) and St Mary Mackillop College (ACT). She has held teaching positions at Waverley College (NSW), Santa Sabina College (NSW), Xavier College (VIC,) and St Francis Xavier High School (ACT).

Mrs Quirk holds a Master of Religious Education and a Bachelor of Music Education.

She strongly advocates for the benefits on an all-girls' education.

Mrs Quirk said, “I am very much looking forward to immersing myself in the vibrant community of Stella Maris and championing the ongoing pursuit of excellence in all-girls’ education. It is clear that Stella prioritises the growth and wellbeing of students and staff and it is my aim to continue to foster a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.”
