Sr Colette Egan Information Centre – Library
Sr Colette was a long-standing and much-loved member of staff and one time College Principal. A woman of great intellect, her life was dedicated to the service of young women. The College Information Centre, our equally much-loved Library, bears her name as a mark of the respect and esteem in which she is rightly held by students and staff.
The Library sits in the geographical heart of the College. It is staffed by an experienced library team dedicated to helping the girls and staff make connections with the information they require and the literature that inspires them. It is a vital, creative, energetic and friendly part of the College.
The Library always has interesting displays related to the curriculum or to special days such as Anzac Day or Book Week celebrations. This richly textured learning environment is designed to stimulate the girls’ senses so they engage with information on a more holistic level and it also provides a multitude of opportunities for incidental learning.
