Stella Maris College extends its best wishes to the College leaders for 2023.
College Captain is Pippa R who will be supported by Holly W and Isabella K in their roles as College Vice Captains. The students head a 14-strong Student Leaders’ team – each charged with portfolio responsibilities.
A Stella student since Year 7, Pippa loves the inclusive Stella community. “I love that there are options for everyone to excel and contribute to what they are passionate about. The girls and teachers here are so kind and make Stella a school that I am always looking forward to arriving at.” A talented dancer, Pippa has big dreams to forge a career in the industry post-school. She has particularly enjoyed watching her younger sister, Tessa, start her own Stella journey this year.
Isabella (Izzy) has a long family association with Stella – her aunt was a Stella student and her grandmother taught at Stella in the late 60s. Following school, Izzy hopes to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. Izzy says the Stella community is incredible and the love and care she has received since starting in Year 7 has allowed her to flourish as a young woman.
Holly is a stalwart of the Stella community with two older sisters who have graduated and her mother, a long-serving teacher. A talented athlete (she has represented Stella in 13 sports), Holly has ambitions to play in the AFL Women’s League. She also hopes to be an environmental/sustainability engineer so, “I can work on solutions for big issues caused by climate change.”
We know our Stella community joins with us in congratulating Pippa, Izzy, Holly and the Student Leaders on this incredible honour and wishing them every success for 2023.
