Music
“My idea is that there is music in the air, music all around us;
the world is full of it, and you simply take as much as you require.”
– Edward Elgar
Music Events
From Year 7 to Year 12 Stella Maris musicians mature into seasoned performers. Some of the opportunities for public performance include:
- Community venues and events such as Manly Corso

Senior Band
Senior Band is our most prestigious ensemble for musicians of approximately AMEB Grade 4 and above. Senior Band girls tackle challenging repertoire from contemporary to the classics, extending their musicality and ensemble performance skills. This band performs at College events, participates in eisteddfods and competitions and represents the College at community events. At select times it also embarks on regional and international music tours, most recently to New York.
